FAQ

Questions answered.

Yes — completely. Stash stores everything locally on your own machine. There is no server, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no outbound network requests. The app works with no internet connection at all. Your data never leaves your PC.
Use Stash's built-in encrypted backup feature (Settings → Backup) to create a password-protected backup file. Save that file to an external drive, USB stick, or anywhere you choose. On a new machine, install Stash and restore from the backup — your data comes back exactly as it was.
Yes — you pay once for the current major version and receive all updates to that version at no extra cost. If a major new version is released in the future, existing customers will be offered an upgrade path at a discounted price.
Stash runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. It is packaged as a standard Windows installer (.exe) and installs like any other desktop application. No administrator rights are required to run it after installation.
No — and that's by design. Stash does not connect to any external services. You enter your own data manually or by scanning bill images with the built-in OCR scanner. This keeps your banking credentials completely separate from the app.
